Metal construction sealing covered with new
ISO-Chemie
iso -Metal Building Sealing System
Leading impregnated foam sealant specialists
ISO-Chemie has introduced a new easy-to-
install
system for the high performance
sealing of light metal constructions in
accordance with energy saving regulations.
The iso -Metal Building Sealing System
conforms to EnEV regulations and complies
with guidelines
laid down by the industrial
association for metal building
constructions
(IFBS) for joint tightness on lightweight steel constructions.
The system is based around the European RAL principles of three level sealing
- the inside seals are more airtight
than the external ones, allowing any trapped
moisture behind the joint, or within the wall, to escape outwards
rather than
into the
building.
The external seal provides weather resistance and breathability, while the
intermediate seal provides extra thermal
and acoustic properties and the
internal one air tightness and humidity regulation. All three levels are
designed to
accommodate movement between the adjacent materials.
The coordinated tapes featured in the iso -Metal Building Sealing System
provide quick and effective ‘fit and
forget’ perimeter seals for both weather
and air tightness, while still remaining permeable to trapped water and
water vapour – similar to a flexible breathable style material.
The range includes ISO-MEMBRA SX which seals moving joints with large
tolerances on metal sheeting, timber,
blockhouse, solid and prefabricated
buildings and façade insulation systems. It can also be used to seal window
connection joints in old and new build structures. Functioning like a membrane
seal for joints up to 18 mm, it
provides improved protection against driving
rain while allowing trapped humidity to escape, avoiding damage
caused
by condensation.
The range also includes self adhesive, fine pored ISO-PROFIL filler strips
for sealing and insulating trapezoidal and
wave profile sheets used for roofing
and facades. These offer improved air circulation and thermal control in
building
constructions and a class B1 material construction offers improved
fire resistance qualities.
The ISO-BLOCO 600 is a premier option for protecting joints – in buildings
up to 100 m high - against driving rain
to a minimum of 600 Pa. It possesses
excellent thermal and acoustic insulation properties and can be used for
sealing skylights, cladding panels and curtain walling among other applications.
Other products include ISO-ZELL thermal tapes, which offer high compression
resistance and thermal insulation
qualities, and the self adhesive ISO-BUTYL
for protecting overlapping joints. ISO-ACOUSTIC is also available for
improved sound absorption in trapezoidal sheet metal, sandwich and composite
constructions.
The iso -Metal Building Sealing System is compatible with all standard building
materials and comes with a 10
year warranty. It complies with the relevant UK
Building Regulations, as well as DIN EN standards, covering
thermal conductivity,
dimension tolerance, impermeamability to driving rain on joints among others.
ISO-Chemie is one of Europe’s main producers of impregnated foam sealants,
specialising in the manufacturer of
foam products from polyethylene (EPE),
polypropylene (EPP) and polyurethane (PUR) using the latest production
techniques.
The company’s UK technical and distribution operation is based in the North
East of England, supported by a dedicated
logistics service to ensure customer
orders are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible (usually
next-day delivery).
